appearance ,, Damien is a rather willowy boy who towers over Ren, but lacks in overall physical strength and is definitely more scholarly than sporty. His hair is deep red in color and is very messily cut, seeming to be chopped off at random places. His eyes, as Renee describes, are dark holes void of emotion except for maybe hatred; she claims she gets cold just looking at them. And with that pale, pale skin that seems to never tan, Ren has reason to believe that Damien is actually a vampire. (Even though she insults him often, it’s probably because she has a crush on him but is too stubborn to admit it~)
personality ,, Very belligerent, seeming to always be up for a challenge. He's very bitter that Renee always seemed to be one step ahead of him academically and wants nothing more than to beat her at everything. Their rivalry began back then even, each attempting to out-do one another in the classroom; they even began calling each other by their middle names just to tick each other off. A secluded young man, Damien had only a few friends that he kept close and didn't talk to many people other than them. He has quite a sharp tongue and is always quick to retort or insult. Towards Pokemon, he prefers to train with tough love, convinced that they will become stronger faster if he doesn't show affection often - though he knows when his team can take no more in battle and will likely forfeit the match if he knows he's doomed for failure.
history ,, Again, their rivalry began when Renee transferred to his school; he was always near the top of his class, but she did better. Since neither of them was very athletic, their battles never got physical, but tended to act more like a cold war, both knowing they despised the other without having to say anything. Ren doesn’t know much about his past other than that. She hears rumors that his parents were junkies and abandoned him when he was little - which would explain how dead his eyes seem - but she isn’t sure how much of them are true. Not only that, but other girls (who have keener eyes and ears to this kind of thing) say that he actually has a crush on her, but she can’t quite believe that without any cold hard evidence. Either way, she was sure that she wouldn’t see him again once school ended; if only she had known that it was his desire to become a coordinator as well... Still, she finds it hard to believe he actually wants to win ribbons, convinced that he just wants to prevent her from getting any.
