Cancer paused for a few moments, checking herself in the mirror of the room she was staying it. The boat was taking her to a new region. She hadn't even bothered to memorise its name. Instead, she'd used the money from her parents to buy the ticket, leaving an annoyingly short amount left. Of course, she had her own bank account and had enough money for her to be able to cope for a while. Or at least until she saw those shoes...
She was a hopeless addict to an attractive shoe. Yes, those five inch heels golden heels with platforms weren't the most sensible thing to buy when she'd be walking far and wide, but they were so pretty! Of course, now she was pretty much penniless and it was not a situation she enjoyed finding herself in. Yes, she had enough for food and drink, but she'd have to wait a while before buying anything so pretty. They were totally worth it.
Cancer beamed as she admired them in the mirror. They did make her legs look divine! She twisted her body slightly to look in the mirror, trying to check that she was looking good from every angle. Yes, it was satisfactory. She flicked her hair from her shoulders, checking that it looked shiny enough. She wanted to start her co-ordinator career as well as possible.
Co-ordination of pokemon was becoming pretty popular, and apparently this region was one of the best for it. And, it was far away from her bothersome parents. She smirked, before applying a little more gloss to her lips. She looked good.
She nodded to herself as she heard the announcement informing her that they'd shortly be arriving at the harbour. Onyx harbour or something like that? Sounded nice. She smiled, hoping that the weather would be good. It looked quite sunny, but as soon as she left the boat her waist-length hair began to fling itself in as many different directions as possible. She groaned, sweeping it into her hands and striding as quickly as she could to a sheltered area. Luckily for her, she found herself by the Laboratory within minutes.
She grinned as she looked up, before tying her eye patch a little tighter as it'd come loose in the wind. She raised a carefully manicured hand and tapped at the door.

AIDE LUCY WINTERS Lucy quickly gave herself a once-over in the mirror. Finally she had time to go and have a swim in the ocean. She was sure that Kai or the Professor was here somewhere, and if any coordinators showed up, they'd deal with them, not her. Despite the fact that there really was no one to try and impress here, she put on a light red two-piece that showed off her curves nicely. There was quite an advantage to swimming all the time: you were always toned and slender. With a smile, she tied up her short, blonde hair and grabbed a towel. Her Azumarill was waiting outside, and together, they both headed around. The only bad thing about the way the lab was structured was that she was forced to go through the lobby to head to the back. How anti-productive was that?
"Come on, Azumarill," she said, bare feet slapping against the hardwood stairs, "Before someone comes by." But it seemed Arceus had something against Lucy today, and as soon as she passed by the front door, she heard a sharp rap. With an annoyed moan, she paused for a moment, waiting to see if either of the others in the lab would come to the lobby, but no one came. Letting out a harsh breath, she walked over to the door and swung it open, only to come face-to-face with some girl. Okay, 'girl' was pushing it a little. More like a woman. Who was pretty.
Frowning, Lucy stepped back, allowing room for the woman to step in. "You here for a starter?" she asked, her tone... not so friendly. Quietly, her Azumarill snuck into the other room to fetch a starter pack. The Pokemon knew how Lucy could get. Now she wasn't just annoyed, she was a little jealous.

Cancer paused for a short while as she waited for the door to open. She'd taken the opportunity to glance around the area, inspecting the building. It was alright.
She found herself reaching into her pocket and fingered the box of cigarettes, before ignoring the possibility of any No Smoking signs and pulling out a single stick. She placed it between her lips, before pulling out Baseball Babe - the wonderfully tacky lighter with a picture of a woman dressed in a 'sexy' baseball outfit. She smirked slightly as she lit the cigarette, taking a deep breath as the nicotine began to flood her veins. Ahhh, that was lovely!
Before long, the door opened and a woman wearing a swimming costume. Cancer raised an eyebrow, "That's a pretty costume. Where'd you get it?" She purred, entering as the woman moved back. Flattery would get you anywhere, right? "Yeah, I'm here for a starter." She said simple and looked around the laboratory, walking inside. Her heels clicked loudly on the floor but she disregarded it. She took another drag from her cigarette and drummed her fingers on her arm. She wasn't terribly excited about getting a pokemon, although she wasn't sure what was in the lab. She wasn't really one for doing her homework. She'd take a gamble and turn up without any other knowledge.
"What pokemon do you have here? You wouldn't have any poison or rock types?" She asked, taking a hopeful wild shot at her favourite types. They were rather unusual choices for a girl such as herself. She looked quite a lot like your typical blonde bimbo, but she loved the weird pokemon. Rock types were always strong but poison types just tended to look awesome. Of course, the majority of Laboratories only gave out certain types and they were nearly always grass, water and fire. And those types were just so popular that it was kinda boring really. Something different is always fun. She'd want a challenge, too. Not some boring, cute baby pokemon.
ooc; Oh my gosh, this is so bad. D: I'm really really sorry. x.x

AIDE LUCY WINTERS Lucy frowned when she got a face-ful of cigarette smoke. With a frown, she pointed at the cigarette before saying, "No smoking." Smoking wasn't not allowed, but Lucy just didn't like the smell. Besides, it wasn't really abusing her power as an aide, was it? When the woman complimented her suit, Lucy almost blushed, but then decided against it. She'd play it cool. Lucy was cool. Right? "Just some store," she said, waving away the question. To be honest, she had actually paid quite a lot for it, and it was one of her favorites. Living by the ocean, she had almost a closet-ful of swimming suits. Especially for the summer season.
"Mmhm, just follow me," Lucy said, heading over to where her Azumarill had vanished to. Down the hall and to the right, Lucy walked quickly. She wanted very much to get swimming. Today was one of those rare warm days in the Fall, despite the wind, and she wanted to get out and take advantage of it. Not be inside, tending to some rookie coordinator. Lucy didn't even bother to look back and check if the woman was following. She just decided that if she wanted her Pokemon that badly, she'd come and get it, not just lull around. Once she was in the room, she was greeted by her Azumarill, who held up the starter pack to the other woman, long ears folded back. Lucy just stood back and said, "Just look through and choose one. I don't remember if we have any rock types, but I do think we have a poison type or two." Actually, Lucy knew exactly which Pokemon they had and what type they were, she just didn't want to talk. But then she realized that maybe listing them all out would make the process that much faster.

"No smoking."
The statement was sharp and definitely not a request, more of a command. Cancer smirked slightly at the woman, before muttering, "I'm nearly finished..." She took a few more drags, drawing out the time as long as possible, studying the woman to see if she'd get annoyed. However, it wasn't long before she'd satisfied her cravings, at least for now. She sighed happily, before crushing out the cigarette on the ground.
"Mmhm, just follow me,"
Cancer nodded, throwing her hair over her shoulder in a rather bored looking manner. She followed the woman slowly, glancing around. She drummed her elegant fingers against her legs as she walked, her heels clicking on the ground at each step. The laboratory was well air conditioned and the thin teen shivered, folding her arms over her chest to trap some body warmth.
She glanced down at the Azumarill that seemed to be leading the woman down the hall. She smiled, deducing that it must be her pokemon. It was kinda cute, although water types weren't a favourite of the blonde haired girl.
She entered the room with the pokeballs and broke into a dark grin. There were so many! She looked at them with an expression that was unmistakably greed and envy. Her eye narrowed as she considered, just for a moment, trying to steal more than one. Of course, that probably wasn't the wisest idea. No doubt there would be CCTV cameras scattered around and big burly men as security. No, she'd have to get one the old fashioned way...
Of course, she wasn't entirely sure why she'd been sent out to get a pokemon. Her parents had plenty of money and could have easily gotten her some wonderfully rare pokemon for her own. But, no. They'd thought it would be a more authentic experience to travel miles for one.
"Just look through and choose one. I don't remember if we have any rock types, but I do think we have a poison type or two."
She didn't remember? Cancer rose an eyebrow at the woman but said nothing, despite thinking that wasn't a promising start. The lab aides didn't know something so important? Nevertheless, she edged forwards, reading the names on each box of pokeballs. She walked sideways along the shelves, running her finger against each ball. Bulbasaur... Taillow... Sandshrew... Caterpie... Gastly... Nidoran... Aron... There were plenty she liked the look of.
She placed a finger to her pink lips and hummed something, pondering which one to get. Her eyes drifted between two; the Aron and the Nidoran. She shrugged and snatched one up.
"A little boy nidoran would be lovely, don't you think?" She smirked, turning back to the lady and nodding. She'd made her decision quickly, but nidoran was one of her favourite pokemon - they resided near the National Park in Goldenrod and they were pretty cool looking.
