A single turquoise eye flitted around the forest clearing that she was sitting in. She smiled slightly, taking a deep breath of toxic smoke and closed her dark eyelids. The sun was trickling through branches to send dappled markings on the ground. Cancer smiled, kind of enjoying the quiet area but missing her busy home city more.
Thankfully, the silence was broken by a loud shriek. Cancer opened her eye with a jolt, jerking around to face the source of the noise. A small purple pokemon seemed to be attacking one of the many bluebells that were scattered throughout the forest. Cancer laughed slightly, "What are you doing, Nicotine?" She called out, smiling slightly. The poison type was a rather excitable pokemon, but seemed rather sweet. He squeaked a few more times, "Ni, nido ni!" He chirped, headbutting some leaves. Cancer laughed as the poison type looked up, shaking its head as he tried to get his brain less jumbled. He had a single leaf stuck to his horn.
"Come here, you weird little thing." She giggled, and the pokemon looked up her, a shocked expression on his face. He snorted and trotted away, acting as though he took offence from the title of 'weird'. The teenager laughed, watching as the nidoran jumped about, already distracted by a hole in the ground.
She crossed her legs, looking away from the nidoran for a few moments to look around. Yes, the bluebells were very pretty but she did miss the busy life of the city. In fact, she hadn't seen anyone since she'd left the laboratory with her new pokemon in tow. The pokemon was an amusing creature but she wasn't really sure how to react with the poison type. She'd never been allowed a pokemon at home, so she had no experience with them. She understood people, not pokemon.
Nevertheless, she turned back to her new companion and laughed; he was rolling about in more leaves, chirping happily to himself as he did so. Cancer looked around the area, "Nicotine, sweetie. Let's try and find something to train you up on. A battle would be good, yeah?" She purred, causing the nidoran to hop up, blinking at her a few times before nodding feverishly, and trotting up to the tree stump she was sitting on. He looked up at her with a joyous expression. Even Cancer, with her limited knowledge of pokemon, could tell her pokemon liked the great outdoors. Unlike herself...
The girl glanced around a few times, trying to see a pokemon. They said that the forest was full of bug and flying pokemon - some of her favourite types. She wondered if there were taillow in the forest. They were pretty cool, really. She was going to get a tattoo of one before long.

[[ooc: luckylucky day for you veaux >.>]] Taillow swept through the forest, chirping with glee. It was such a nice day, and he really couldn't wait for his family part to start. It would be such fun! However, he frowned. He would need his sleep for the happy adventure. Sigh. Oh well. He landed in a small tree off to the side of a clearing. It would be a perfect place for a nice nap; no one would disturb him because no one ever came here. He curled up, and chirped another chirp just for the sake of it, then closed his eyes and fell asleep peacefully.
~~ ...
[*omg! what the hell?*] Taillow swore as he fell off the branches of the small birch tree and onto the ground, falling with a loud thump. Ouch. That had hurt. His wing seemed to be a little sprained, and he wondered if he would still be able to fly. If he wouldn't be able to fly, how would he get back home to the party? As he looked for the culprit who had knocked the tree and possibly ruined his possibilities of getting to the party, he noticed a young female human and a young nidoran male. His beak curled in disgust.
Intruders. In his territory.
He shrieked loudly and leaped into the air, even though it hurt. He wondered how long his injured wing would last him, for it meant that he was already a bit weakened and if he battled too much, he would be left to the human's evil devices. Yet, he smiled. He would not let the human and the Pokemon defeat him, for he was the mighty Taillow of the Forest. And he did not like being shaken from his tree. He was going to get them back, and they were going to suffer. He dove through the air, targeting the young Pokemon and performing a Quick Attack as he fell in spirals from the sky.

ooc; -cheers- : D Thank you so much! <3
Cancer took another deep intake from her cigarette, allowing the addictive and dangerous substances to spread through her body. Yes, she knew how unhealthy and terrible smoking was but that only made it cooler in her eyes. And she was fucking cool.
Nevertheless, the quiet of the forest was beginning to bore her fairly quickly. She drummed her fingers on the tree stump she was sitting on, hoping that something exciting would come to her. She wasn't quite ready to actually start looking for adventure. Pfft, that might ruin her beautiful shoes. She finished her cigarette and stubbed it out, flicking the butt onto the ground without a care for the environment. She had more important things to worry about.
Like the fact that her pokemon was still trotting about with a few leaves stuck through his horn. There was only so much of her pokemon looking silly that she could take. "Hey, Nico, come here, you silly thing." She murmured, gesturing for the pokemon to come towards her. The nidoran looked up, and after chewing on a mushroom he'd found, trotted back to his new trainer.
She picked him up, ignoring his squeaks of alarm and his slight struggles. She giggled a little, pulling one of the leaves from his horn. However, it was at that moment that the little blue bird fell from its roost in a tall tree with a thump. Cancer jumped, twisting her body around to try and spot the creature. Having only one functioning eye has its disadvantages...
Nicotine seemed to notice what it was straight away and leapt from Cancer's arm, completely with a leaf still stuck to his horn. He bounced over, squeaking "Nido ni ni!" Almost as soon as the poison type approached the animal, the bird burst into flight, shreiking angrily as it did so. Cancer gasped, jumping to her feet.
It took her a few moments to figure out what it was and when she realised she grinned hungrily. "Oh, perfect." She purred, crossing her arms as she watched the pokemon fly into the air. It was an attractive bird, no doubt about that. The way that it flew through the air, before spiralling downwards was truly beautiful. Except, of course, the fact that the twirling was actually a quick attack and struck her small poison type's side.
Nicotine squeaked in pain, rolling away from the bird after it's attack. Oh, that had hurt! He glared up at the taillow for a few moments, before Cancer called out a command,
"Darling, start off with a peck attack. Aim for the wing." She spoke calmly, but sternly, a smile fixed on her face as her heart thundered at the concept of her first pokemon battle. "And, that was a lovely roll. Do that again if he tries to attack."
She nodded as the little poison pin pokemon chirped angrily, one of his special abilities coming into play. His Rivalry meant that he was going to show this stupid male how cool he really was. Cancer was glad she'd noticed the injured wing. If Nicotine could damage it enough that it wouldn't be able to fly, then the bird would be, almost literally, a sitting duck. She smirked, excited for the fight. Nicotine let out a battle cry as he lunged forwards, hoping to strike the bird with the peck attack.

Taillow's eyes narrowed as he saw the strange Nidoran approaching. What was he trying to do? Taillow, unfortunately however, was quite a bit too confident in himself and never did see that Peck Attack coming. It struck him on his injured wing and now he really was not sure if he could fly, but he decided to try to. Well, it worked as he fluttered into the air, but he was especially delicate and he wasn't quite sure how many more attacks he could hold off. Unfortunately, this made Taillow even more mad and more aggressive than ever. This stupid human -- and her clone, they thought that they could defeat him? It would never work, and his beak twitched as he decided what to do.
His beak stretched into a smile as he once again dove to the earth. Surely the young Pokemon was hurt, right? It couldn't be NOT hurt, could it? Taillow grinned and plotted his new attack. He would quickly use Quick Attack and then land on the floor, use Growl and start flying again. Surely the stupid Pokemon would not be able to live through those attacks; and yet he hoped nothing could go wrong, because it was to say the least a risky operation. Truth be told, the young Taillow didn't want to be caught in those things humans called Pokeballs, for they were traps, and he had heard that humans, once catching the Pokemon made the Pokemon work for them like the poor, yet stupid Nidoran down there.
He shook his head in disgust. He would rid the forest of this trash, and if he could, he would free that Nidoran from the human's clutches.
With a screech he dived and spiraled once again, getting ready to hit the Nidoran directly and then use a Peck. He hoped it would work, because now the entire forest's safety lay in his hands. What would happen if he was defeated? He didn't know, but he cared more than anything and he was going to work hard to exterminate these vermin. [/size]
