Deep lilac eyes are second only to shoulder-length, black hair with a purple tint when one casts their eyes on Merle. His hair lengthens in the back to a ponytail that sweeps midway down his spine, and frames his face with varied lengths on either side. Both are quite distinctive, and a source of much praise and attention - not that this boy is complaining. He's quite proud of his looks, and fancies he's much like a porcelain doll when he pretties himself up a little.

Although having grown up in a city on the sea, Merle's complexion is stubbornly delicate, much like a doll's, with a hint of a glow that barely makes up for the otherwise sickly hue he presents. His high cheekbones and angled face give him a sharp look, which in turn with his large, almost almond-shaped and slightly angled eyes give him a cat-like look. Pretty faces can be deceiving, though.

Five feet eight inches is a perfectly commendable height, no? 'Leggy' and 'slender', not to mention 'curvy' are all nice words, yeah, but let's just face it - Merle is a skinny fuck. His weight teeters along the fine line of one hundred and twenty-four pounds, which is just barely considered a healthy weight for someone his age. Though he doesn't cut a very striking figure with such thin shoulders, slender arms, and gangly legs, he is a decent dancer and athletics come naturally to him.

Though he isn't fond of piercings, Merle has made one pleasant discovery in body modification - tattoos. Because of his artistic nature and his job, he chose the most suitable design and decided to have these wings tattooed on his shoulderblades.
