Sweet and Dark & all in between ♥ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Munch, munch, munch, munch...
Nix should have been far away from where she was now. She should have turned her head away and ignored those beautiful, so appetizing and mouth watering cakes. She should have just gone away never again to look at one of those sugary, mesmerizing wonders... Oh, who was she kidding? Nix would have never done that, not even in a million years. Being a sugar addict wasn't half bad. At least she had the excuse to eat all that garbage she called food. Nevertheless, even a sugar addict would have stared in shock at Nix, like the rest of the costumers were doing, as she devoured her 19th piece of chocolate cake. Next to her there were about 15 other plates all containing different kinds of cakes, cookies, sweets and anything that could have sugar in it. Right now Nix's mouth was parted wide as she gulped down yet another piece of cake and smiled contently as she felt the sugary goodness take a temporary place in her tummy. It was a surprise that there even was any space left - Nix promptly showed that indeed there was more space left as she began on her 20th piece of cake.
Hearing an 'ahem' sound coming from her left, she shot an irritated glare at the waiter that was showing her something. Keeping the fork in her mouth she stared hard at the white paper that was going to become the bane of her existence in a few seconds. There was silence all around the room as the little girl kept staring hard at the paper, her big, purple eyes blinking quickly. Then, she stood up slowly, grabbing her bag in very slow movements. There was a tension inside the room. All the costumers were looking at her. The owner of the little cafe was looking at her, his eyes like a falcon's on its prey. Nix took out her wallet and she faced the waiter with a smile on her face.
"I'm broke. I'm sorry."
The silence continued, much stronger than before. Nix noticed, with a mental giggle, that the waiter's face seemed to be turning blue. She was sure that the boss' face was already in all the shades of the rainbow. Then, Nix coughed slightly and took out a credit card from her bag. "But I can use this." She replied, the tension inside the room disappearing altogether.
The waiter smiled at her, his skin a normal tone again as he took the credit card with him and came back a while later, giving it back to her.
--Meanwhile, in Veilstone city-- Nix's father looked at his bank account. "NNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIXXXXXX!!!"
--Back in Onyx Harbour--
"Ahh, I feel so much better now." Nix said, patting her strangely flat stomach. "Don't you, Noxus?" She asked her bunny doll, smiling at him. You might be asking yourself, why is a seventeen year old girl carrying around a bunny doll? Well, that's a mystery.
She looked around and bit her lip, trying to find out where she should go now. "Oh yes! The lab! It should be around here..." She told herself, coming upon this building that resembled... well, a lab. Because it was a Lab. Nix almost hit herself in the head because of the stupid logic she had just used. She peered into the inside, feeling curiosity stir inside her. She could explore the Lab a little bit, no? There wasn't anyone here now and - it's not like they had any secrets here, right? And if they had, they shouldn't. Nix put her fingers to her mouth, making a motion for Noxus to be quiet (not that he could make any noise to anyone but Nix). She entered the lab very quietly, poking some pokeballs and reading some papers. Hey, this wasn't as funny as she expected. Nevertheless, she continued to explore the lab as she wished, not really caring if anyone was to show up. She could blame it on Noxus anyway.

[[ ** LUCY WINTERS ** ]] With a sigh, Lucy made her way to the desk, barely making it before collapsing onto the hard wooden surface. She was tired, wet, mad, and unhappy of a few things. Today was not a good day for her, for she was angry at everything. Even in the morning when she'd first gotten up (she was a severe morning person), she'd been grumpy and unready to face the world. Even Azumarill hadn't been able to shake her out of her daze; she'd gotten mad at him and he'd stayed away for the day. So for the rest of the day, Professor Redwood and Kai had kept away from her, knowing how scary it was when Lucy Winters was angry. It was literally a day off, but she found no joy in the thought. Lucy'd just gone swimming a few hours ago until now; her muscles were sore, she was still mad and angry, and she was wet. Lucy bit her lip as she tried to let all the negative energy out of her body. Maybe she should've taken a shower.
In a flash she stepped into her shower, and tried to mentally rinse out all the bad vibes coming off of her. She hoped it was working. Lucy smiled to herself gently, and stepped out of the shower, slipping on a pair of cuffed shorts, a t-shirt, and some flip flops. She knew it didn't look professional, but quite frankly she didn't give a damn at the moment. With a shake of her hair the water had almost gone, but she ruffled it with the tower for sure, and then went to look at her computer for a while. Maybe it would have some good news in its bottomless recesses.
Lucy was lightly asleep when she heard the dainty footsteps in the lab, padding around and quite obviously shifting through the papers on the front office desks. She frowned. Nobody was supposed to do that. Walking briskly out her door and slipping on a lab coat quickly, she made her way to the outside and spotted a young girl as the culprit. How rude! She hadn't even knocked!
"Young lady, visitors shouldn't touch the paperwork on our desks."
She was getting impatient, and her dark mood was returning. Usually, Lucy was always happy to have visitors/coordinators and give them their first Pokemon, but today she was pissed for no reason, and a pissed Lucy was not good. However, when the girl turned around and looked at her, Lucy couldn't help but 'aww' at her adorable appearance. Immediately her first impression of the girl cleared and her frown turned into a smile.
"Also, I assume you're here for a Pokemon, love?" claimed by vivi <3

Sweet and Dark & all in between ♥ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The little girl had been going through some interesting papers regarding the Pokemon inhabiting the several islands when a sharp voice almost literally whipped her out of her little reverie. She spun around, frightened by the voice and tripped over her own feet, making a short squeal kind of sound before falling on her butt rather painfully. She groaned in pain and pouted, rubbing her aching butt. Then, she blinked a couple of times and looked around, looking for Noxus. Where was he? She frowned, but picked up on what the other girl was saying. In a hurry, she straightened herself up and bowed at the girl.
"I'msorryfordisturbingyou ididn'tmeantocomehereandlookthroughyourstuff. I'msosososorry."
Nix bit her lip and thought for a while, coming to the conclusion that maybe the other girl hadn't understood what she was saying due to her frantic speech. Her butt was still aching, not that she didn't deserve it. She was doing something she wasn't supposed to, anyway. She could've had it worse like that time the whole market went running after her because she ''innocently'' had started to scream in the middle of the street, scaring all the costumers. Nix winced. That was a memory she did not want to repeat.
Coming back to reality, Nix looked at the girl with apologetic eyes and breathed in, calming her mind so that the next time she could speak and get her message through.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you." She started. "I didn't mean to come here and to look through your stuff. What I did was wrong. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry." Nix closed her eyes and bowed, showing just how sorry she was. Well, she would've put the blame on Noxus, but he wasn't here. The damned scared bunny had run away when he understood they were not alone. The bastard! The little girl looked around for any signs as to where the brown doll bunny could have gone, but he was nowhere in sight. He could hide pretty damn well, Nix thought.
'Oh well... He'll come back anyway. I know he will. He always does. And then he'll start apologizing and stuff. The coward. I ought to beat him one of these days...'
By now there was an angry sign over Nix's head and she was about to close her fist when she noticed where she was and who she was it. People thought she was crazy, no need to make them think she was crazy and mad.
'But that's kind of the same thing, isn't it?' She asked herself, pondering over the subject. Shaking her head, she brought herself to reality. The girl in front of her was obviously waiting for an answer and Nix was more than happy to oblige.
"Yes I am." Nix answered, smiling. "I am Nix Garth. Yes I know. it is a strange name, but I like it. And yes, I am here for a Pokemon. I will be an awesome coordinator!" She spoke with confidence. Inside her head she added 'at least I hope so.' But that's not the spirit people like to hear, is it? Inside she was quite excited to get a first Pokemon. She was here for something, wasn't she? Plus, she might even discover the whereabouts of her brother. Nix had hoped that she'd find him eventually if she moved out and started to journey, like she was doing now. It was just a matter of luck, she guessed.
Suddenly, Nix saw something brown out of the corner of her eyes. She stood on her tiptoes to see it well and she let out a shriek, jumping over a table and glomping something to the ground. There was a minute of silence before Nix came out of the place she had been hiding in and walked in an excited manner over to where the other girl was. She showed the brown figure to the girl and it showed itself to be her brown doll bunny Noxus. Curiously he had what seemed to be one big purple circle around his left eye and there was a strange gloomy atmosphere around him. How could there be an atmosphere around a doll bunny? Well, that was yet another mystery lost within the Universe's wonders. After she had almost literally put the doll right in the other girl's face, Nix cradled the doll bunny in her arms.
"This is Noxus, my companion." She explained. Then, she seemed to have remembered something. "Oh, I was so rude! I didn't even ask for your name!" She exclaimed, looking surprised. "What's your name?" She finally asked, with a big smile on her face.

Lucy's smile became a large grin when she heard the girl talk. She was so CUTE. Her day had just been brightened by an adorable young girl and now she was sure to give the girl something good as a Pokemon. Especially since she had apologized profusely over and over again, which made the girl's personality as good as gold in Lucy's head. Lucy skimmed over her appearance in thought, wondering how old the girl was. She actually looked quite old after a longer glance, and Lucy estimated she could be around 16 years old, even. But then, why did she look and act like a 6 year old? Lucy shook her head delicately and decided not to ponder on the subject; for she had encountered many a stranger case before.
Nix Garth, huh? She seemed like a nice girl, though a tad bit too curious and a little immature, but what was she to do? Apparently, Nix was going to be the best coordinator in the world, and Lucy wasn't going to do anything to stop her.
The girl suddenly squealed just as Lucy was about to talk to her about the Pokemon, and dove over a table, tackling something that lay on the ground. On closer thought, it was a bunny. A stuffed bunny. Now, this was the last straw for Lucy. She wanted to laugh out loud. A 16 year old carrying a bunny? However, just for the Nix's sake, she kept her trap shut, but now had a new story to tell her colleagues.
"Well, hello there Nix and Noxus. My name's Lucy Winters, and I'm one of the aides here at the the lab. Wouldn't you like to see the Pokemon available for you?" She said gently, handing Nix a list that she had gotten from the edge of the cabinet.
Damn. The list still hadn't been laminated.

Sweet and Dark & all in between ♥ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The short girl listened quietly as the girl introduced herself as Lucy and as an aide at the local Lab. Of course, Nix knew there were aids at the Labs, there always were, however she felt a little down that she wouldn't be able to meet the professor. Even if she wasn't supposed to look into the papers around the lab, she felt curious about some of the things said there - it was her nature after all to be inquisitive. She kept her mouth shut, however, because it was rude to ask about something she shouldn't even know. She had gotten herself into enough trouble as it was, she didn't need anymore of it.
'At least for now...' Nix grinned as she thought of this. She always got into trouble whenever he went - it was fun either way. The shirt girl blinked yet again as her big eyes concentrated yet again on the other girl, noticing the paper that Lucy was giving her. A paper? How come she hadn't seen that one? Shrugging, she looked at the paper and mumbled a 'yes, thank you.' She hoped it was the right answer because she had spaced out for a while and had barely heard the question. As it was, she saw the tiny pictures on the paper and she figured out that the girl was giving Nix the paper with the choices of the Lab. As she skimmed through the several options, her eyes grew wide.
'So many options!' She gasped mentally, not even trying to hide her surprise. The rest of the regions usually offered three choices and nothing more - but this list - this list had all those and more. The girl immediately knew she ha come to the right place to pick her first Pokemon. Well, first if you didn't count the Charmander she and received upon stepping on the Island forum, from an opening promo. That had gotten her pretty happy. But now it was serious - she really needed to choose and her brain had chosen this time to block. As she looked at the paper and her brain skipped over some options, she started to get slightly dizzy. "You have so many options..." She said, out loud, immediately scratching the fire, water an grass options out of her list.
Bitting her lip, she lowered the paper so that Noxus could also see the several options. To many this would've seemed really childish, but to Nix it was completely normal. She always chose something with Noxus. He helped her, even if most people did not believe it. "Now Noxus... Which one shall we choose?" She asked the bunny, looking closely for some kind of reaction.
The brown bunny was still in her arms, but a more observant person could see the small glint in the stuffed animal's eyes and that his head had turned slightly to the right and a bit down, pointing at three different options, before returning to its normal stuffed animal state. Of course this could only be a dance of light and shadows, but surprises never cease, do they? Either way, Nix looked like she had understood Noxus because she suddenly exclaimed. "The Pichu, the Sandshrew and the Aron? The last two aren't very cute." Then, there was a pause. "I like the Caterpie."
A small scoff was heard, but it could very well have been the wind outside the Lab.
So now Nix had diminished the list down to four choices. The Pichu, the Sandshrew, the Aron and the Caterpie, even though Noxus didn't agree with her on the last one. Nix thought that the Caterpie was a good choice because it would evolve to a Butterfree and Butterfrees were really beautiful, not to say they had really cool attacks. On the other way, Pichus were really cute, but a bit overrated. Everyone wanted a Pichu or a Pikachu. What was so great about them other than their cuteness? Plus, they had to love you to evolve. Not that Nix had any kind of problem with that, but... It took a little time and a lot of dedication. It would be a choice latter on, but not now. And thus, Nix scratched the Pichu out of her list.
Now, she only had three options to choose from. The Sandshrew, the Aron and the Caterpie. She loved all of them and they were all cute in her opinion. She loved Aron's blue eyes with his steely outside. Especially the eyes. She loved Aron's eyes. They made her want to hug him - except, he was so tough with the steel around his body. The Sandshrew was so cute when he turned into a little ball and rolled around! Plus, he also had pretty cute eyes. However, she still liked Aron better. And thus, Sandshrew was off the list. Only Caterpie and Aron prevailed. Now... which should Nix choose? Noxus was being a stubborn jerk and was pointing at the Aron. However, Nix thought the Caterpie was just so adorable...
"Lucy..." She addressed the other girl, looking thoughtful. "I am divided between a Caterpie and an Aron..." She started. Then she thought for a while. Caterpies were really easy to come by these days. Maybe she could catch one on the next Island, if she was lucky enough to find one.
"Nevermind it. I pick the Aron." She finally said, smiling sweetly. There was heard a relieved sigh somewhere and Nix subtly glared at the stuffed bunny before smiling at Lucy again.

[[ooc: sorry it took me so long >.>]] With a relieved sigh, Lucy smiled as she watched Nix ponder. She was such an adorable girl, and Lucy was sure she was to do great things. She blinked as she heard things that sounded as if they had come from the ... stuffed bunny. She shook her head, trying to get rid of the weird sounds. She must have been imagining things. Bunny's couldn't talk, right? Shaking her head, she returned to the girl in front of her, smiling diligently.
"Lucy," she said, "I am divided between a Caterpie and an Aron..."
As Lucy found herself about to say something, she suddenly closed her mouth. She was sure that Nix would be able to make her own choice, because this was her Pokemon and her life. From now on, she would be on her own. This was good practice for a city girl, which Lucy was sure young Nix was.
She sighed in relief as she realized that Nix had come to her decision and chose Aron. She strongly approved. Caterpies were ... not to say the best Pokemon to start with, especially when you didn't have any experience at all. You needed a Pokemon that was strong and could defend you at first, then you got those other small bug-types -- not that Lucy was against bug-types, for they were extremely good for coordinating.
Lucy smiled again, and said while walking towards the Pokeball room, "Don't worry darling, I'll get an Aron for you in a second."
She scrambled towards the Pokeballs, checking each and everyone with precision. Now, now, this young girl was quite lucky. She had just gotten the last Aron in their stock! And, it had an egg move as well. Wonderful. Lucy smiled as she got the Pokeball, and hurried back into the room, grabbing a starter pack on the way.
"Here you go, Nix. You're very lucky, you got the last Aron in stock and to top it off, he has an egg move! Dragon Rush, I think. Here's your Starter Pack as well, make sure not to lose it, now. It has all your essentials inside."
name: your choice level: 5 moves: tackle, dragon rush personality: your choice You received Aron!

[[ooc;; it's okay : D btw, this is finished i guess :3 ]] Sweet and Dark & all in between ♥ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nix smiled when the girl told her that she'd get one immediately. So this was it! She was going to finally start her coordinator career and with an Aron to top it all! She felt excitement biting at her heart and she had to refrain from shrieking out loud her happiness. It wouldn't be the best decision seeing as Nix's behavior wasn't exactly the best with her sneaking with the Lab and stuf... She bit her lip while imagining things about her new Pokemon; would it be cute and cuddly? Tough and determined? Confusing? Nuts? Completely out of this world? Countless options went through Nix's head until she felt something bite her in the arm. As she opened her mouth to scream, her eyes went from her arm to her stuffed bunny. He pointed at Lucy and Nix saw that the other girl was already coming back with some stuff on her arms and, of course, a pokeball.
Nix immediately clenched Noxus in her arms, which made a painful squishy/choking sound come from the bunny. Nix shushed him quietly while she focused her attention back on Lucy. The girl started to speak:
"Here you go, Nix. You're very lucky, you got the last Aron in stock and to top it off, he has an egg move! Dragon Rush, I think. Here's your Starter Pack as well, make sure not to lose it, now. It has all your essentials inside."
The short girl couldn't help but give a gasp of astonishment as soon as she heard about the egg move, opening her mouth in a startled and, quite frankly, stupid expression. She stared at the girl for a while as the silence enveloped them. Then, she did what was expected of one such as Nix...
...she jumped on the poor Lucy.
"Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyouuu!" She squealed, throwing her arms in the air and making a little victory dance that made her look more than a little ridiculous. Somehow, in the middle of her victory dance she realized what she was really doing and had done and a blush heated her cute face. She shot an apologetic glance at Lucy and sneakily bumped Noxus in the head when he began to chuckle.
She laughed out loud to hide her embarrassment and grabbed the pokeball in which her new Pokemon resided. Her eyes were twinkling with mirth and her mouth stretched wide in a 'cheshire cat' kind of smile. She cradled the pokeball in her hands and smiled down at it, completely enchanted with the new Pokemon that she had received ( no matter that she hadn't even seen it ).
Then, she remembered the rest of the stuff that Lucy had told her about - the items that were so important to her coordinator career. She blinked a couple of times and went to pick them up. After a while she had them all in her purple messenger bag and was ready to leave. Standing up, she made sure everything was in its place before bowing down to the other girl.
"I'm very thankful for your help, Lucy." She told her, standing up from the bow. Her smile was soft and warm, just like the sunshine. "I'm happy that we've met. I hope to meet you again in a near future." Then, she paused. "Maybe I'll be a great coordinator when we meet again!" Her tone was confident and an observant person would be able to see little stars in her big, deep violet eyes. Nix was really hopeful that she'd meet Lucy again. She had been very nice and Nix doesn't forget that easily. Bowing once again, she turned from the girl and left the lab, inhaling deeply the scent of the sea. Her long brown hair bounced up and down behind her with the wind outside. Nix's own adventure was about to begin.
